This project was carried out at the Huygens Institute, Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). It was funded by a grant (€246,000) from the KNAW (Institutes Fund) for a period of 2 years and 4 months (Sept 2021-Dec 2022). The Huygens Institute’s short mission statement is “making Dutch history and culture more inclusive through digital means”; this is expressed, among others, in the aim to create rich and accessible digital editions of the material of Dutch heritage institutions. eCodicesNL is a first attempt to achieve this for medieval manuscripts.
